A scholarship fund in Mike’s honor and memory was recently established to provide children an enjoyable, camp experience with Tamarack Camps.
Mike loved the experiences and friendships he made as a camper and counselor. One of the best ways to honor him is to allow other kids to experience this as well.
Our goal is to promote the essence of camp that Mike loved so much – to help campers escape to nature, build one-of-a- kind friendships and bonds, have fun; and enjoy being a kid. The Mike Greene Camp Fund will benefit any deserving child wishing to go to camp.
Established by the Fresh Air Society in 1902, Tamarack Camps provides enriching Jewish camping experiences for children and families, independent of financial ability. Tamarack’s values include fun, learning life skills, group dynamics, the environment, independence, Jewish values, and sensitivity to others. The agency is part of the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit and is accredited by the American Camp Association.
When you think of Mike, or whenever you would like to honor or remember someone you love, we hope you will consider making a contribution to the Mike Greene Camp Fund.
Mike's fund is perpetual and will contribute 100% of all proceeds to assist the children.
